Ata Health supported a multilateral health organization to conduct a landscape analysis of institutional strengthening financing among National Public Health Agencies (NPHAs). Through a review of peer-reviewed and grey literature, hand-searching of institutional websites, and targeted polling of NPHA leaders convened through global consultations, we characterized the evolution, modalities, and gaps in institutional strengthening support for NPHAs. The analysis drew on and applied a conceptual framework for institutional strengthening articulated by Allutis et al., helping to situate findings within a broader health systems perspective. The project resulted in a comprehensive analytical report and an editorial manuscript prepared for peer-reviewed publication, advancing dialogue on sustainable financing and long-term capacity development for NPHAs.
