One Health Workforce Next Generation Initiative

The USAID One Health Workforce Next Generation Initiative is a five-year, $85 million initiative designed to build a transdisciplinary workforce in One Health to support the detection and control of zoonotic infections, antimicrobial resistance, and other health threats. Under prime partner University of California – Davis One Health Institute, Ata Health leads the organizational development program to help build the organizational sustainability of two regional One Health training networks in Africa and Southeast Asia, including their progress to direct USAID funding awards.

HRSA Global Reach II

The HRSA Global Reach II initiative is a five-year initiative funded up to $100 million that aims to: formulate high quality solutions for HIV control, and translate new science related to mitigating the impact of global pandemics in the HIV response. Under prime partner JHPIEGO, Ata Health will develop sustainable peer learning collaboratives of subnational human resources managers, strengthen human resource information systems and use of HR data, and build organizational capacity of key local public sector HIV organizations for improved performance and sustainability.

CDC NPHI Linkages Project

The CDC National Public Health Institutes Linkages Project s a multi-year initiative to explore the role of National Public Health Institutes (NPHIs) in the building and strengthening of critical linkages between public health functions and organizations. Ata Health has conducted literature reviews, conducted informal and formal consultations of global subject matter experts, and produced several technical reports and manuscripts. The work is culminating in the first-ever global CDC guidance on how NPHIs can strengthen linkages to improve the impact and efficiency of public health programs.

CDC Long COVID

The CDC Long COVID & Other Fatiguing Illness Recovery Program is a three-year randomized control trial examining the efficacy of a virtual community of practice model on improving patient specialty care for people experiencing long COVID. Under prime partner Family Health Centers of San Diego, Ata Health is a Co-principal Investigator responsible for assessing impacts of the intervention on provider knowledge, confidence, and capability as well as to assess the feasibility and scalability of the model.
